I used macOS High Sierra installer 10.13, then upgraded to 10.3.3 with the Clover bootloader.
I used UniBeast to create boot drive.
I used MultiBeast and Clover Configurator post-install.
Under the "Boot" tab in the Clover Configurator, I had to change the setting to "darkwake = 0" to make sure sleep and wake worked correctly and without issue (again see attached file).
