微软继周四开始向市场中的Windows Phone8.1设备推送了Windows 10 Mobile正式更新(Build 10586.164)后，又向桌面系统推送了Windows 10 Build 14291，隶属于RedStone分支，新增支持Edge扩展。

从此Edge浏览器，也可以像其他品牌浏览器一样使用鼠标手势、翻译软件、和其他一些扩展小工具了。

此外的一些更新包括Edge新增固定选项卡：固定的选项卡只显示该网站的图标，且不显示关闭按钮，防止误操作。

“粘贴并转到”功能：Edge浏览器也有了复制网址链接后，在地址栏右键可以选择“粘贴并转到”、“粘贴和搜索”的功能。

闹钟更新：改进了创建和编辑闹钟和定时器设计。
